Manitoba Provincial Nominee Programme Decoded For You
The much talked about and widely used Manitoba Provincial Nominee Programme (MPNP) is basically a wonderful provincial immigration scheme made possible via the Canada-Manitoba Immigration Agreement. The same enables the province in question to hire and nominate those immigrants who are perfect to make handsome contributions to the province’s specific economy.
It is compulsory that the candidates, who have a nomination from the province, get satisfactory and quick thought from the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). It will be possible if they successfully fulfill the immigration body’s statutory requirements, submit genuine certificates/papers, and aim to live in the province.
Under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Programme, you can make the cut under one of these classes, namely, the MPNP for Skilled Workers, the MPNP for Business, and the Farm Strategic Recruitment Initiative (FSRI).
MPNP for Skilled Workers
It is meant for the trained manpower, is locally driven, and based on the specific requirements of the local recruiters of the region. The province picks up globally trained and experienced manpower which has the abilities required in the local labor market and nominates them to obtain the prized Permanent Resident Visas (PRVs), to live and do a job in the region.
Two pathways to Manitoba are available under it, namely, Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas. While for the former, petitions are admitted from the qualified impermanent overseas labor force and international student graduates who are presently doing a job in the province and have been proffered a permanent job with their Manitoba recruiter; for the latter, employer petitions are entertained from the qualified trained employees who can illustrate a pretty strong connection to the province via either family or friends, previous education or employment, or by invitation of the MPNP, and be given adequate points for 5 eligibility factors – age, English skills, employment experience, education and adaptability.
MPNP for Business
The MPNP-B will only nominate those who plan to live in the region with their dependent family members, make an investment into either a new or present business, and accept an active decision-making responsibility in that firm/venture. Those who fail to fulfill all scheme requirements would do well to discover additional provincial & federal immigration schemes.
The MPNP-B officials review the petitions based on the eligibility requirements and selection issues. It is mandatory that the candidates fulfill the different eligibility requirements. Still, the candidates should also know that if they fulfill the bare minimum eligibility conditions it does not mean they will 100% get a nomination. Those who have high potential to become economically well set in the region will be given preference.
Petitions obtained by the aspirants who have not been sent an Invitation to Apply (ITA) will be sent back unprocessed.
As mentioned earlier, a decision to nominate does not assure the issuance of a Permanent Resident (PR) Visa. The IRCC has the final right in the offering of every visa. The immigration body will review the file, carry-out security, and health checks, and can even ask for an interview. Besides, your nomination may be taken back by the MPNP-B at any time before the offering of a PR Visa.
The nominated candidates will have to present a good-faith deposit in the amount of 100,000 Canadian Dollars. The deposit is refundable to the candidates, minus interest, once they have fulfilled the different terms and conditions of their Deposit Agreement. Before turning-up as a PR, a candidate, who takes back his/her petition, will be given his/her deposit back.
Farm Strategic Recruitment Initiative (FSRI)
It is meant for those with established farm business experience, adequate available funds to invest, and who plan to set-up and run a farm operation in the rural areas of the province. It is anticipated that the successful candidates of the FSRI will set-up a farm venture in the rural Manitoba creating principal products that is consistent with the region’s present farm business.
It is compulsory that the kind of operation and investment illustrates a relationship with the Provincial figures and is applicable to the region’s farm business. Agri-business operations not yielding key products can make the grade under the Business Programme requirements.
To make the cut under the specific scheme under the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Programme, the candidates must have a minimum verifiable personal net worth of 350,000 Canadian Dollars and possess not less than three years farm business management or farm proprietorship and operation experience duly supported by confirmable certificates/papers, among others.
